Paint is ****ed!!
i clay my rally red about once a month, and i wash and NXT it once every 2-3 wks.
ive never had a problem with red coming off on my microfibers...
just keep the car sealed with a polymer based synthetic wax in between washes, it will block the UV rays, stop it from fading and preventing contaminants to stick to it when u do get around washing it, hand wash it dont take it to high pressure washes, or automated car washes.

The GG paint on the MR is crap too, when i took out the factory tailights the corner of the tail light hit the rear fender and the paint chipped off. Another time I door dinged my friends POS honda just laying my door out there and the painted chipped right off the lip of the door. Mitsubishi paints sucks big time.

People on here have claimed that certain colors don't have clear coats from the factory (ie, red like in your case). I was concerned about that with my yellow, so I asked at the dealership and my service guy was like, "uhm actually they all have clear coats, that's a rumor. All cars have clear coats from the factory." So, I don't know what to make of it anymore.
