You're nuts to let that slide...I'd make sure that was incorporated into the police report and compel your insurance company to subrogate against your "friend". Otherwise you foot the increased insurance rates and eat the deductible...

What possesses someone to grab the driver's wheel and manipulate it in any way??? I'm horrified. I can't even picture anyone I know doing something like that. I'm just glad you're all ok. Wow.

Well said... That's what I was thinkin... Friend or no friend, he risked the lives of all 3 of you!!! That's a serious issue that needs to be talked about between the 3 of you... Maybe he'll drink a little more responsibly if he cant control his actions like that... Whoa!!!

Yup. People sure do make mistakes. It just that we all pay for yours. And people wonder why we pay so much for insurance.....

I want to say again thanks for everyone who is glad we made it out ok.

To everyone else yes he is a "friend" and these next couple of week will really determine if he is a true friend or not. It is hard because I have known this guy since I was in elementry school. Anyways I was not at fault and yes it has been noted in the police report that my friend was at fault for the accident. It was a stupid move he made and I for one would never grab the wheel, but that is just me. I'm not exactly what he was thinking at the moment, I'm just trying to put things together. Insurance will be handling everything.

For the people who say that is why we pay more for insurance. Maybe you shouldn't own an evo if you think your insurance is to high. Maybe you have had past experiences and that is why your insurance is so high I have no idea. My insurance WAS only $80 a month which in my mind is very cheap. Now with all this who knows how much it may be now, but I still plan on getting myself another evo. Whether it be a 8 or a 9 I will be getting another evo.

And this is the TRUE story. The adjusters will be coming tuesday or wednesday, we'll see what happens.

How were you driving at the moment he grabbed the wheel, may I ask?

Did you see how that railing went through the back seats? Maybe it was a good thing they got thrown from the car. Those things might have done some serious damage to whoever was in the back seat.

I was driving fine. We would of made it around that turn and they would have been at their houses. I drive this way home every single day. From work and to work. Heck to get anywhere you have to go through this road.
