yeah, lots, 29k. for that mileage and a salvaged title, it should be a little cheaper. you can find a good 03 with that many miles for somewhere around 22k. the best ive seen was an 04 stage 2 vishnu and less then 10k miles for 23.5k. i think 14k or 15k would be reasonable considering the risk.

As long as it runs good and drives good there shouldnt be a problem. You will not have the carry over of the warranty unless you are extremly lucky. Mitsu will normally tag the car in their system, so anything that goes wrong will be out of your pocket.
The insurance thing is not a factor either. You will be able to get full coverage on the car, you may just have to have the car inspected by them to make sure it is all there. They are just making sure that nothing is missing like airbags, headlights etc.
All in all it may be a way for you to get into an Evo if you cant afford a new one, or a used one. REMEMBER.....even a clear title car can still have quite severe damage and not be a salvage. At least this way you know what you are getting and the previous owner is willing to disclose the condition to you. I have seen a whole lot of TOTALED cars that still have clean titles on them. And Carfax wont always pick up on it either. And I have also seen the opposite....Cars that have minimal damage and have a salvage title. So you have to be careful either way.
If you decide to do it I would definitely take it to a dealer or good mechanic to check out. Possibly even a body shop.
17k sounds like a fair price if it is in excellent condition and shape.

haha i took at look at this car! dont get it! lol bolts are missing and the front wheel base seems to have been shoved to the left! also he says the frame is not touched but even the dash is pushed over! check under and the frame is not aligned! dont get it...not worth it...lol but i just got a deal for a tarmac black evo for 22k and it only has 18,000 miles
the lowest he said he would go was 17,500...totally not worth it. He fixed the car at his bodyshop cuz he owns one...bolts are missing and the frame under isnt alligned...also he doesnt really show u slips that say no frame damage..the right fender has a different Vin number because it was replaced...NOT WORTH IT
