The SW filter they use is nearly 7 times thicker at 14.07mm. You say cotton gauze catches more dirt and sand then foam, then why does almost everyone in motocross use foam (which is one one the dirtiest sports out there)? You need to stop hating and get of your pedastole.

Because of this I now run an Apexi Power Intake filter which was tested in Japan about 3 or 4 years ago and proven to be the best JDM filter at that time. The K&N type filter was second in that test, if I remember correctly.
I dont think anyone has any first hand testing or experience with sand infiltration problems with the Secret Weapon filter, so I dont think they were picking on your filter.

I always thought if the intercooler showed lower charge temp then it would be ok no matter how much hp you're putting through. Guess I gotta reevaluate this area...
