Exhaust Problems

Well I got the HKS Hi Power Carbon-Ti catbacak, WORKS 76mm DP, and WORKS HFC installed today at Sound Performance and it went on fine until the end when they were inspecting it and noticed that the HKS catback was not aligned properly and was a little bent so it was hitting the driveshaft. So I had it cut and then grinded and stainless steel welded so it would push more to the right and away from the driveshaft. They finally got it so it wasnt hitting it anymore, but then noticed it was hitting up against the casing around the fuel tank on the exhaust side. So they just hammered it in slightly and drove it around expecially over some tracks and bumps and didnt hear anything. I must say I was a little dissapointed since their quality is partly the reasons I decided to spend this type of $$$. But it wasnt worth it to send back in my opinion and it seems fine now except as I was getting home I noticed a constant squeeking noise.

Is this just something that just can be remedied with tightening or what? Doesnt seem major but I'm gonna have them fix it anyways since it took me 4 hours anways. SOrry for the venting but I have not been able to find any negative things about HKS or WORKS (because i suppose it could be due to the works products which affected the positiong of the HKS catback but im not sure) and am kinda wondering if anyone else ahs had such issues with install of these? Thanks.

Sorry to hear that dude, I know how you feel ... ... you could try stiffer KartBoy exhaust hangers to stop the exhaust vibration ...

Ohh, and i forgot to ask, but the muffler and tip seem to hang a little low although i could just be paranoid, but since taking pics might be a little harder for me right now w/o digital

Can someone with the HKS Hi power post a pic form the back and/or measure the distance from the top of the tip to the bottom of the bumper cutout? Thanks again.

My hi-power silencer in midpipe is close to the driveshaft too but not touching it and I have some rattles when decelerating on the highway in gear. I tried adjusting the karboy hangers but there isnt much I could adjust. The only thing I can try is rebolt the midpipe again carefully and watching the placement while I tighten the bolts to see if I can get more clearance. Oh welll Im just going to live with it for now until RNR sends me my replacement muffler.
