look at your PMs Bruno.
i appreciate everyone's input, keep it coming, it's helpful to see everyones mindset between these 2 very different types of cars. I know there are **** loads of other posts about it already (thanks burning monkey) but I appreciate people answering on my behalf.

how about a 95 R2 Rx7TT...them things are fast...but ummmmm..for a little while
or how about an NSX, there are some in the 20g range but still a nice car...
Supras are fun to think about owning, especially thinking about owning one that is like 800hp...but owning a car between 8 and 13 years old, that has been beaten on by several owners, on their 4th engine, etc....its gonna be more of a headache than you realize.
My votes:
Live in snowy climate or drive multiple people around a lot- EVO
Live in warm climate, mostly drive by yourself or one other, or have another car to drive- C5 Zo6
Buying a supra is like going out with a really hot stipper. Cool to think about at first...but in reality...you prolly dont wanna go there.

none of the cars you mentioned come close to the performance of the EVO with the exception of the supra, but it's 6 years old. an FD3S RX7 would be pimp...but the EVO would still be the better choice. get the IX when it comes out.
Get a brand new evo...believe me, you will be much happy maintenance wise! and the bottom line- no one b4 u has driven it! so, u can start from scratch! Any used car u have to worry about how they were driven b4.... so, I wud definitely go for an evo. And it handles like craaaazy! Great for twisties. Almost lotus elise like handling.

it seems like most of you are considering the same thing that i am, being that for the same money your getting a brand new car, that in most ways is just as good if not superior to the supra, instead of getting a used, and most likely abused supra.
and add to the fact that the fastest supra model was what a 94? did the 1/4 stock in 13.8?
If we are just comparing these 2 cars to spend your money on the Evo wins hands down. Do research on the numbers for the 2 cars; then look at the price. The ONLY thing the supra has going for it is sex appeal.. which is cool. But my wallets arent big enough to justify that when I have a girl at home and an evo in the driveway.

both are great cars.... apples to oranges though in the comparison department. Let me know if you have any specific Supra questions.

Nils, you've been around a long time why don't you give a quick run down in the handling, power, interior, and braking departments.
For me the biggest thing about high hp car's including Single supra's was wheelspin. I hated it with my previous mustangs...a little write up would be great.

That is a hard choice to make. Supras are quite expensive but they are the BEST cars to mod PERIOD. EVOs need upgraded turbos or race gas to make 400whp while Supras can do 420+whp with BPU mods. However, the EVO is a NEW CAR and its AWD which can be quite useful, depending where you live.
I couldnt buy a Supra because I couldnt get a loan for one (25k+). Getting a new car loan was no problem though so thats why I have the EVO... and dont get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE my EVO to death but the only car Id trade it for in that price range is a Supra.
I was looking at Z06s but the insurance was astronomical and the car is flat out impractical. No space for anything and 1 seat. Awesome car though.
