I hate my brakes

I just put new hawks pads on on saturday to replace the stck ones and a big part of that was because they squealed so bad. Now they do it even worse. I am gonna kill myself. The paint is peeling on my calipers so Im thiking of trying to get my dealer to replace them and see if that will help. I lubed the **** out of both sets of pads and Im going crazy. What do you guys think. Is it the calipers? I searched and I got a bunch of worthless crap or maybe I didnt look right but anyhelp is greatly appreciated.

high performance brakes usually squeal. You can go with some softer pads but you'll probally loose some stopping power.

pretty sure. I mean I used to be a mechanic so Im pretty smart about this type of thing. I never had this problem with my 6. I miss that car. Oh well, I want to get new rotors anyway, maybe when i get around to it ill replace those too. I need to see if the dealer will replace my calipers. anybody here in CO had it done. Maybe at Quality or Phil Long??? I want them to do my synchros too, and slap in the new clutch. ACT i think. who knows.

when all is right and installation including bedding went smooth, then it all comes down to the compound of the pads. drastic research should be done on the compound , brake fade, noises, heat etc... before the pads are baught. you'll just have to wait till these hawk pads run out to get better ones if you dont want to waste the 100 bucks u spent on them. dont worry it will give you plenty of time to do your research for your next pads.

DId you reuse the stock shims? Did you use high temp grease on the metal parts?

i think its the calipers honestly. it seems to be somewhere along those lines. Im gonna take them apart again and see if I cant clean the calipers a little better.

I think I remember my stock shims breaking after an autox in c-bad when they had it there. I dont recommend re-using the stock shims. u can if there fine but its just some preventative maintenance.
