took my hook out and put a bunch of these on the back of the floor mat. threw out the soft sides, just let the velcro stick to the carpet.

You can solve this problem by removing the floor mats . It is a nice free weight savings mod as well.

It pissed me off so bad one time I wanted put a few screws right through the floor board. Needless to say floor mats have been removed for over a year now, and problem is gone .

I drag my feet on the mat so heavily because of my big foot, that the damn hook is near coming off by now. I have to be really careful when stepping in. I might just opt to remove the damn mat.

im pretty sure you can secure the oem mat by zip tieng it to the seat rail. at least this works for all weather rubber ones.

i have gotten use to re adjusting the mat at every redlight. im so good at it now i can find the hook without looking or feeling for it. i dont want to remove them simply because of stains, and it makes vacumming the car easier since under the mat stays clean lol.
