If you have a problem with your hook coming off, what you could do is get a piece of metal or plastic, cut out a rectangular hole in the middle with the short side the width of the hook. Slip the metal over the hook perpendicular to the steering wheel, then twist it 90 degrees. Then you affix both sides of the metal to the edge of the carpet and that sucker will never pop out of the hook.

Mine still rides up a bit because I have a tear next to the hook, but it never popped out.

I had that issue. Gorilla glued the hook to stay down. Came up after a few months. Took the mat out. Now the rubber is coming up too. Must be why paul walker has metal floor pans and such

ezzey Floor Mat mod

Go to your local fabric store, and buy some Velcro straps with adhesive on the other side and put a few straps under your mat.

Version 2. Buy Velcro straps and sow it to your floor mat. Use stitch color same as mat.

And you'll never have to worry about it moving any direction. The Velcro really grips on the interior floor carpet.

The hook had come loose in my car so I removed it, and relocated it 1/2" to the side. I had to make a new hole in the floor carpet, but the hook covers it. I have not had any issues with my floor mat since then. Simple fix, completely free & took 3 minutes.

Here's a new idea. you know the quick release's that ToxicFab sells for the bumper? I wonder if a smaller version of one of those would fit through the hole in the mat and you could mount it to the floor pan. and it has a smooth low profile top. Just a thought though
