Rant: floormat hook
Anyone else have a problem with the carpet coming up and the hook being loose and allowing your floormat to slide up under your pedals?
Stupid design.
Stupid design.

Yeah it happens from getting in and out, that's where most of your weight goes - right on your foot on the floormat.
I never had this problem with my SRT-4...I just wondered if this is a common problem in Evos.
The dealership is brainstorming on how to fix this...the easiest fix is to replace the carpet...but then you're just delaying the inevitable - it'll happen again. What a stupid design...the hook should mount to the floorpan, not the friggin' carpet.

Yep, mine did that too. I've got 55k on my car and just swapped out the stock floormats for some Momo ones. I've been meaning to take some pics and start a thread but I've just been too busy.
These Momo mats stick pretty well. The bottom has some sort of sticky foam and then velcro. Velcro works really well to hold the mats in. If you can stitch some to the bottom of the stock mats that would really help it from sliding around. I tried sticky velcro on the stock mats before I bought the Momo ones and it worked for a day or so until the sticky stuff melted off from the heat. Stitching it on should help it a lot, it's worth a shot. Or you could just get new mats like I did.

yea my hook is really loose and so is the carpet. I was also noticing that the gas tank and trunk release levers are really loose. And it looks like they just cut a gash in teh carpet to run the levers threw....Im not to happy with the carpet at all. Maybe I'll just gut it all out lol. Hey, wouldn't that be weight reduction. I got the OEM mats with the aluminum Momo plates mounted on top. I have no probs with the mat sliding around anymore. Plus, no more hole dug into the floormat from the heel of my foot.
