I use it in my Toyota Highlander....I suggest you wait till your EVO has some miles on it..
I tried Amsoil in my Evo. I never dynoed it to see if one or the other gave more power, but I did send samples out for analysis and they came back showing comparable levels of wear. See https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=102173

I'm actually curious about this Thread right here. I was hoping someone else could shed some light on AMSOIL motor oil. I heard this stuff works wonders, but not from anyone I know. I was curious to know about it though. ANYONE GOT ANY ANSWERS!?
It would be better than running Mobil 1. Mobil 1 went down a grade in oil, not really a true full syn. like AMS Oil is. AMS oil is great oil. There was a big thread a while back on all the oil, search and youll find everthing there.

Subaru's burn Mobil 1. I put Amsoil in my Subaru and have never had to top it off. Amsoil has better viscosity retention. I'd use it before Royal Purple, Mobil One and Redline. Lab tests appear to suggest that it's better than any of these.
I've heard that AMSOIL isn't great for turbo cars because silicon bits can form and that's not a good thing. I only heard this from one person though. He also recommended to not use synthetic in a turbo car at all.
My next oil change will be with AMSOIL. They were the first 100% synthetic manufacturer and are still one of the few. I've seen nothing but positive results from tests against other oils. I also plan to use AMSOIL in my drivetrain when I upgrade fluids.
BTW, if you are interested in AMSOIL, they have a preferred customer program that offers discounts. http://www.amsoil.com/opportunity.aspx. The buy in is $20/yr and offers 15%-20% discounts on retail prices. You come out better using this program if you purchase around $100 in products in a year. That's probably 3 oil changes or one full drivetrain fluid replacement.
No, I don't work for them ... I've just done a bit of research.

I run Amsoil in all my cars! http://www.amsoil.com/ You can find info on there site.
I keep hearing about Mobile 1 is no longer fully synthetic. I tried searching for information and everything I found states that Mobile1 is fully synthetic. Are people confusing Mobile1 motor oil with other Mobile motor oil?
AMSoil is great. I think to be truly fully synthetic you would have to create the oil molecule by molecule but since no one does that I guess the actual meaning gets skewed a bit. AMSoil or Redline are both extremely good oils.
