I can't get mine into reverse easy enough to go from 5th to reverse on accident... but it's not that hard to palm shift if you downshift into 4th. (palm shift is what I call it... cuz you point your palm in the direction of the gear you want to go to... but I don't know what it's real name is)

Doesn't it grind really badly if you try to put it into reverse while moving forward? I think you'd notice. If he's not with it enough to hear that grinding I would have him buy an auto Honda.

yea i dont see it being a problem i drive my little brothers 6spd tsx once in a while and i get back in my evo no problem. its a little tougher to get into reverse than just throwing it back like its a 6th gear. i think it would grind too
by the way Phish, sweet name, makes me wish i had thought of it.
