Opinions on price from dealer
Opinions on price from dealer
I have been back and forth with a dealer online in the Chicago area. The price he has finally quoted me at is $26,995 for a new 2005 VIII with no options +TTL. Also, he said I qualify as a recent graduate, so that is good for a $500 rebate.
He said that if I wanted an RS it would be even less. But I am turned off on the RS because the lack of ABS.
Is this a good deal? I don't believe they are selling well here and wonder if I should hold out for more.
PS. I like the style of the current EVO, so to get a IX isn't a big deal to me.(Esp. since it will probably cost me wayy more)
Thank you,
Scott

Burning,
He said "new" so I assume very low. I wouldn't want one with a couple hundred miles on it, that is for sure. I am going there tomorrow to see what kind of financing he can do for me.

gl with the financing
Before I demo'd the car I ended up buying (12 miles on it).. one of the sales person said "I will let you thrash this thing on the test drive".
I turned and said, "I am probably going to buy this car, why would I want to thrash it" I mean they had others.. and even a high mileage demo car.. why would some moron want to thrash on a car with 12 miles?!?
retards.

The price you were quoted is great as long as it's new. Many of us bought our 2003's for more than that. Ask yourself how much lower of a price you're looking for. Figure out the number of phone calls and miles driven to negotiate that lower deal. Keep looking if you think it's worth it to call every other
dealer in the midwest. Otherwise stop shopping and get your behind in a Recaro ASAP!

Fireball,
No, that was the quoted price at $26995+TTL. He said if I was a recent owner or/and recent grad to take off another $500 each.
If I walk in tomorrow and get 0% also, it would be really hard to pass up. Thanks all for the advice on pricing.
