Talking Sat in the Evo today

Oh man. I got to sit in the car today. Step on the clutch and play with the stick. I even checked out the trunk. Niiiice and spacious. OMG you will not believe how light the doors, hood, and trunk are on this car. It was like lifting a piece of cardboard. Amazingly light. The seats feel great. Nice and snug but comfortable. The clutch has some resistance but nothing too stiff. Pretty soft compared to my aftermarket clutch on my Supra but still a nice amount of res. I heard the guy start it up. Ehh nothing great. Sounds like a quiet 4 cyl. would sound. Haven't heard it at high rpms so don't know if it gets any throatier. It's not loud by any means though. It's seems like a pretty quiet car. Maybe because I'm used to a mod'd Supra, Prowler, and 68 Vette I dunno. My Vette would rattle windows and set every car alarm off within 30ft. That was friggin loud. All I can say is that if I wasn't so particular about color I'd be driving off in a brand new Evo today. And could possibly claim first ownership. But I'm waiting to see about my color choice first. The car is sweet. It really looks much better in person and everyone who buys one will be more than happy with their purchase.

I did take a few pics but not many. It was parked in between a bunch of other cars. They had both being checked out so it was tough to get around. It was a yellow that I sat in and they also had a red one. I'll post what pics I took but they're nothing great. The turbo sits in front of the motor almost directly behind the IC. Strange placement to me but I've only owned one other turbo car so maybe not.

Oh I'm 6'0" almost 200lbs. So not short but not super tall. It felt snug to me but in a good way. I'm decently broad so I can't imagine anyone too much broader than me feeling comfy for long trips in these seats. I could be wrong but that's what it seemed like. Very nice construction though I might add.

A lot of 4 cylinder cars have the turbo there, since that's where the exhaust manifold is (obviously).
