Who told you that the HID headlights are $1200 from the dealer?
When i first bought my crashed evo, someone told me that your gonna have a hard time finding the HID headlights cheap, since they are $1200 from the dealer. well, i bought the set for $550 shipped without the HID bulb and balast. that included the motor and wiring. however, i only needed the lens and housing.
well, it turns out that the $1200 quote, $927 from mitsubishi parts, includes the complete assembly. that is the HID balast, all bulbs, all motors and wiring.
Well, guess how much the housing is by its self? ONLY $300, or $425 MSRP! thats the lens and housing.
so buying used headlights for over $500 without the HID stuff, well, is kinda overpriced.
The non HID housing and lens is $248, those are for the 05 cars.
just wanted to let people and stop this BS about the headlights costing $1200 new.

i have the 04 with the HID. i need both, since the passenger side headlight was demolished, and the drivers side had broken tabs. however, the HID balasts and bulb where still good.
so what i am saying is that if someone needs to replace a headlight, either because it has a broken lens or tabs, that they dont need to spend $1200 a the dealer.
