Has anyone or does anyone know how to convert the HIDs back to a normal bulb?

These HIDs are a pain in the butt, I just had to throw away the old chinese balasts that the last owner had in and replace with a new one because the bulb blew

 

either way, isn't the only way you can replace the headlight bulbs, whether HID or not, is the same process? (remove front bumper).

 

I dont see why you wouldn't be able to go back

 

It's not as simple as you guys think but it's possible. I did it on my wife's maxima. Had to bypass the igniters but hid bulbs uses different bulb sockets.so had to find non hid bulb sockets and rest of it was soldiering.but you can try to put non hid bulb in original socket it might work.its all about these wire clips that holds the bulb in the place.

 

fwiw the halogens in my 9 are AWFUL. like.. the worst headlights i've had in about 31 cars.

 

Do you have Chinese HID's in the halogen housing? Or do you have actual OEM projectors and OEM HID's?

 

If you do go to halogen bulbs.. Don't get anything less than a Sylvania Silverstar ZXE. Nearly as nice as HID's.

 

chinese now, but I'd prefer to convert them, lights are lights to me as long as they turn on and dont cost me alot everytime they blow

 

get a quality HID kit or source some from a wrecked Evo/Part out.
