I think that the astronomical gas prices are going to hurt poor people the most. Middle-class folks like me feel the pinch, but they'll just make more room in their budget for it. Fewer trips to the movies and restaurants. Life goes on...

Alright, here is what is going on. We are beginning to reach a point where our refiners can no longer keep up with growing US demand. We can no longer keep up with demand because we have not built a new refinery in this country in over 20 years due to strict environmental regulations. As soon as we can build more refineries to process all the oil that we get, and as soon as we begin to drill in ANWR, we will be fine. There is NO shortage of oil, NONE. This is about our ability to refine the oil.

anyways, thanks for stirring my memories. i may have to drive over there when i get back from iraq.

Or maybe the 14 gallons stated in the book does not include the volume of the filler neck.

Youre correct, that is the size of the fuel tank itself, doesnt include the filler neck, the fuel lines and rail and any other things containing gasloline.

back on topic..
the TANK is 14 gallons.
plus the filler neck and all thats in the lines all the way up.
i'd say you filled the neck to the top, i'd put 14 gallons in my rsx before. (13.2 gal tank)
I filled 12.5 gallons last fill, and got about 210 to that tank with combined driving, I'll be happy to get around 220 to a tank. . . .I mean, I drive it like I stole it, if I drove it like a grandpa, then I'd probably get like 20mpg.
