Help...sputter/bobble at 5000-5500 RPM w/ 111 octane....
Just put in 111 octane. Is this causing the sudden loss of power as the motor sputters/bobbles and backfires when I am racing through the rev range at full throttle? It's always at 5000 - 5500 RPM.
I just got 272's and ReFlash for 100 octane.........and have been running about 1 week on 101 octane. Everything great.
Just curious if anyone can help me diagnose this issue that has suddenly appeared today and is consistent. I fear blowing something up. It's similar to when someones A/F meter reads rich and causing the car to choke on itself....
Is this a boost leak?
Mis-read on the 111 octane?
Bad A/F map?
Anyone, if you have had this issue, please let me know. Thanks. List of upgrades below. Thanks.

I had a similar problem not really a backfire but sputter around 4000-4500. I put in a new set of plugs gapped to .025 and the problem went away. Maybe in your case you are hitting fuel cut? What boost are you running?
Thanks. My mechanic suggested same thing with the plugs. I sent an email to Buschur about the spark advance device and plug/wire sets.....if I should get some.
I had the fuel cut delete taken out of the program. It's nothing like a fuel cut....which shuts off power totally for a second. This is a sloppy/rich fuel/choking pause in the powerband as I go through the gears. I fear it's this type of issue that causes bigger problems if things not corrected.
Emails shot off to Buschur and Al for their advice as my car is totally Buschur Stage III minus larger injectors........and Al just did my 272/272 Buschur ReFlash.
