**** ya'll, he said his peace, you gave him advice and he accepted it. STFU and leave him the hell alone. He already has enough problems with the ticket and all. Good luck, don't let the man get you down. KP

If you were truly going to the hospital, you should have asked him for a police escort. That way he could follow you and know you were telling the truth. If he didn't and something really happened to the allergic guy, you could sue the PD. I know it's too late for that, but if it was really a life threatening situation which justified speeding that much and putting other people at risk, then that would have been my course. Now that you've been tagged, a great lawyer is your only hope. I've seen people around here get off from a lot worse. Good luck, and please be careful. If you hit my wife's car going 71 in a 25, I'd have to kill you...

Are you f*cking kidding me? That's like saying "You got a gun permit you should be able to shoot anything you want, f&ck the police just don't let them arrest you."

As far as arresting people who hurt other people. God knows you couldn't hurt some kid on a bike with 3.000+ pounds of steel traveling @75 MPH.

I am not perfect in anyway and so is the rest of you guys on this board. I had a talk with my girl lastnight about this situation and she was not very happy with it and I told her the same thing that I am telling you now. She thinks that I am the best boyfriend, best son, best hard working employee, but its something about cars that isnt right for me. My love and passion for cars got me into trouble a lot in terms of $, relationship, time, etc. This is my flaw and my love at the same time. I hope you understand what I am trying to say.

Look it was a bad decision. We all make them from time to time. Sometimes you just need face the music and take your beating. I think that's all most of us rational people are saying. Get a lawyer, hope for the best and walk away a little smarter.

I know some actually feel this way ,but I don't. I wrote this to show you how stupid ranting over getting caught putting others at risk sounds. As far as the post you made while I was composing the first post, when you have a life threatening emergency, call the local police and tell them what is going on BEFORE you leave. They may have had a car in the area to take him without putting others at risk. I know the dumb a$$es in Jersey don't pull over to let emergency vehicles by, but at least the police have warning lights and sirens to help. If your brother was that sick, you should have taken him to the police car instead of your paperwork and told the cop to take him to the hospital.
When you go to court, take the hospital admission records with you along with a lawyer. If you can prove that your passenger was indeed having a life threatening emergency, you may get off with only traffic school.

Yeah, I think it was pretty obvious BMan was joking. Now, if we were on the SRT4 forum...

Try being married with 2 kids, and we're probably not far apart in age. I have the same problems that you're talking about.

I know it is hard to control the urge to go fast with such an amazing handling car, but you need to have a little more disciple before you hurt yourself or someone else. It’s not cool seeing pictures of EVO’s that are wrapped around trees.

YES, actually I am fu<king kidding you. Read my other post. Internet time isn't like real time. When you are typing and thinking of the right way to say something, then reading to see if it makes the point you want to make, other people all over the world can read what you've said. I knew that when I posted. I knew that I would probably get flamed be 10 people before I posted the next part of my point. Sometimes people need to see it for themselves how stupid their comments sound and what I wrote, I've actually heard from people that weren't looking at their actions in a relative way.

If you actually were taking a family member to the hospital, and that wasn't a load of BS, you'll have some sort of paperwork or be able to get some sort of paperwork from the hospital showing that you went directly there right after the ticket and admitted someone for a potentially life threatening allergic reaction. You can tell the judge thats why you were going so fast, and that you told the police officer thats the reason and he chose to ignore you. He'll probably still yell at you, but he might cut you some slack.

Now, if you didn't actually goto the hospital right after getting the ticket, and that was just a load of BS, shame on you.

all of you hypocritical narcassist quite your complaining. if you dont do it and it is more pc to be against it you are. so what if its more likely you will hit someone if you drive fast. what makes you so high and mighty to determine what level of risk is okay and what isn't. have you ever just went for a drive? b/c if you have, you have needlessly put others in danger. or have you gone out with friends and you could have taken one car but you took two? same thing, you put an extra driver on the road that can cause an accident and/or death. what about talking on your cell phone? you are just as good of a driver on your cell phone as a 70 year old drunk asian lady. all of that is only okay in YOUR mind b/c YOU do it, and YOU couldn't be wrong could YOU? i would have done the same for anyone i know, especially my brother. personally my hospital is in the complete opposite direction of the fire house. i know i can get to the hosipital in half the time it would take to call, wait, and drive to the hospital. i can turn and accelerate much faster then a 4 ton truck with flashing lights. let the fire reign down on me.
