my review:

it was an amazing day. i got there around 11am so i didnt get to see TurboTrix's 1st run. I saw the race when he started to have problems, but for the 1st half of that race, that car is fvkn quick bro. also, that little red talon had some ***** on it too..that thing was uber fast!!

I also enjoyed the 10 streetwar races. the Evo's won 9 out of 10!!!!! I was cheering so loud lol!

I also loved the AMS & Pruven Evo's ... those are so beautiful!!

I walked by the TurboTrix Evo as they were fixin it, and that car is sick! I took some pics which I'll post tonite or tomorrow. Most of the evo's were in the low 11's and 12's... a few 10's and i saw a couple in the 13's...most were due to a late start, or they slowed down towards the end. I also saw a lot of quick civic hatch's.

So all in all a great day! those subies got a hard core beatdown... only 2 or 3 came thru with low times out of the many subies that attended...kinda sucks for them lol. The evo's came, saw, and conquered big time!!!

Last time I checked in NHRA if you ran the fastest run of any car in the first round then couldn't match it any others, you were not a winner... maybe they changed the rules though. We all understand EVOs were generally faster but the whole point of drag racing competitions is to be fast but more so be consistent.

Props to everyone, feel bad for the noobs who couldn't get 1.6-1.7 60's with an AWD car JK, but if you couldn't get under 2.0 that's bad...

A lotta bone stock cars go to the track before they mod to get a baseline. My brother just bought a GS400 and is going to the track with me next time, and the funny part is he will be smoking all the bolt-on civics and other ricer crap there.

Hood flew up mid run. One of the many reasons that I would never have hood pins. On a side note. There were way too many cars making 14 and 15 second passes. In the SCCA and at all road racing events there is always an instructor available to teach you the ropes. Not so in drag racing. We should have a forum where experienced drag racers offer to help local guys out before heading to the track. All Evo's are capable of 13's bone stock. We just need to teach some people how to get there.

What was the point of this, you basically re-said what I already said. Major props to BV, they have a very well built vehicle. But other than them, it was really a disappointing showing for the Subarus, especially after all the smack talk. Also the Subarus basically lost every other event. Take BV away and it would have been an absolute sweep, I give props to BV, but for the Subaru community

Seems like there were a lot of newbies to drag racing, and this was expected from reading the roll call. I give them credit for going out and giving it a try, and I hope they don't get discouraged, with this being many of their first times. Also I believe the Subarus also had a lot of newbies to drag racing and ran some horrible times. Still I hope every one had fun, and that this brings more attention to the sport.

Yeah that guy had a baad day. If you look at his roof you can see where the hood did a decent amount of damage there too.

I would say the majority of Evos and WRXs were running 13's and 14's. It seemed like people were just getting too excited and blowing their launches, I saw a LOT of 2.2+ 60's (I even saw some 2.5's? ).

Yeah there is interest in the autox event, but not a lot of controversy there, just basically an EVO sweep 1st through 4th (Great Job Guys!). The drag racing could have been the same way if it wasn't for the awesome BV STi. The BV STi basically save the Subaru community from complete and utter embarrassment. The Subaru crowd should not be patting each other on the back, but thanking their lucky stars for atleast one tuner getting it right. Honestly IMO this was not a EVO vs. WRX/STi competition, but an EVO vs. Big Valley Motorsports.

7 = 9? And I won't get into the weather during my run or the fact that I have 200lbs of subs in my trunk . I'm just talking about launching, there are too many variables with 1/4 mile times and traps like weather, elevation, etc. A launch is a launch either you are good or you aren't the only real variable is driver skill, until you get into high hp when tires will matter more.
