Just installed the HKS RS Intake along with the SSQV v.2 (upper intercooler piping included). I am hearing this sharp louding whining/squealing sound right before spool up. After 4K it begins to sound good and "right". I was wondering what could cause this to happen. Any help or input would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

its most likely leaking some where just go back and re-tighten everything but i think its coming from the bov around there

i had the exact same thing, it was a large leak in my stock BOV

 

i have a 2003 with the rs intake and ssq bov recirculating back into the intake, i've had no problems, like he said i would just double check the clamps and make sure everything is tight, also make sure the screws on the bov are tight enough, could be too loose

 

Mind sharing how the car feels with this intake...any issues? I'm thinking of
going with the same set up.

cars seems to run OK at best. the intake itself is great and sounds like a jet coming through. you would definetely need to get some kind of tune/reflash inorder to get the full potential of this intake. i do experience some idle problems but i knew of that before hand and it isn't all that bad. i do plan on getting my ecu flashed soon though.
