EVO owners over 6' i need your help!!!!!!

whatup people. i'm planning on buying an EVO IX MR when they are released but i'm a little worried about the room in the car. i'm 6'4" and i have a 2000 accord, 1999 civic si, and 1995 acura integra. i fit fine in all 3 of these cars, but i drove my little brother's lancer ralliart and could never quite get comfortable in the car. there's not nearly as much leg room as the 3 hondas, and it took me a while to find a decent position to have enough leg movement to shift and heel toe smoothly. i checked the specs on the EVO and the lancer and the interiors are identical except for extra headroom in the evo which i assume is probably from a lower seating position because of the recaro's. i've been in evo's before and dont remember them being as uncomfortable as my brother's car was today. anybody out there 6'4" or close to it driving an evo? how does it feel? is it easy to find a good driving position? i need some feedback, thanks...peacE

i am 6'1" and i have no problems. my seat is almost all the way back. i had owned a few hondas in the past and i ended up not liking them because of headroom issues. but there is alot of headroom in the evo. i still have a good 6 inches before my head would touch the roof. hope this helps.

I can't imagine a civic and an integra having more room than I do in my Evo, but I could be wrong. At 6'2", I do put the seat all the way back, but that allows my legs to stretch out almost completely. When racing, I actually move forward so that I don't have to reach at all to press the clutch or accelerator, so I think there is ample room from that perspective. Head room is no issue at all...

I'm 6'3" as well and I have plenty of space in front for the legs and preaty good up top for the head, and I have the EVO with the sunroof.

I'm 6'3" and if I put the seat all the way back I can't push the clutch pedal all the way in! I have a friend that is 6'8" and he fits fine.

Tall guy here, you'll love it. The EVO is the only sports car that I'm comfortable in, by far. Hell, that's the main reason I bought a Lancer over a WRX originally!

I'm around 6'3" and while I fit comfortably, the "sweet spot" for me is a little hard to find in the Evo. I like more recline than most and to get as close to the steering wheel as I like, I need to slide the seat forward more than I would like. Too far forward and my shins bang the underside of the dash. Too far back and my thigh/knee hits the steering wheel when I let out the clutch. If I liked sitting more upright or driving with my arms straight out, I'm sure I would have an easier time finding the sweet spot. As it is, there is a good position for me and I'm a happy guy
