Left foot braking is even worse because I end up having to place both legs/knees to the right side of the steering wheel. Although you can recline the seat back for more head room, it's not the best position for racing, especially if you have a harness (IMO). I have less than 1/2" from my helmet to the roof, again at what I believe is my optimal position. I also cannot move my head to the left with my helmet on. By adding a steering wheel spacer of 6-10", it may solve all of my fitment problems.

Anyone know of such a spacer?

6' 2" size 14 shoes and I fit just fine. Seatback tilted fully upright and seat one click from the back. No problems with knees hitting.

I have a sunroof and have plenty of leg room, and can still wear a helmet for racing without hitting...

My first car was an 84 rabbit GTI which I bought from a 6'5" neighbor. I think it really depends on personal prefrenence whether the car is comfortable or not. If you want to see if the evo is comfortable....definitely plant your butt in one. -Gabe

That is the best advice.

I am 6.3 and started with the seat all the way back. I have since moved it forward several times to acheive best driving position. Plenty of room length wise. If you carry some bulk, I don't know. Go to a dealer and sit in one.

6'2 no problems here. Not even at the track with a helmet.

I'm not tall or anything but have always thought that the EVO had a lot of head room because they are always raced (here and japan) and everyone needs helmet room

6'4", and track driving was a little tougher than usual at the track. I bought some seat rails to lower the stock seats and it helped a lot. I have Sparco's in there now, but there is a lot of room under the chair frame and a lowered one helps with the helmet, and heel toe. I can find the company that built mine if anybody likes.
