Seat position
Seat position
First off, I don't drive an Evo or any Mitsubishi car, but I found this forum a while ago and there is some great all-around advice in this section. Also, sorry if this question is newb, I just started learning to drive 2 months ago.
How should I have my seat adjusted? Obviously what's most comfortable, but in the car I'm driving, that's just not going to happen. I'm 6'1", not a freak by any means, but I can't get a comfortable seating position in my car. I learned initially on a luxury automatic so there were all sorts of seat and wheel position controls, but this car doesn't have much of that. If I move the seat close to the wheel, my legs come very close to the wheel, which means sometimes they will come in contact with it, or my hand will when turning. If I move the seat far enough back to defeat this problem, I feel like I don't have as good control over the pedals, and I can't see over the hood as well. Also, I can't angle my legs to avoid hitting the wheel because of the stupid design of the center console.
What's a recommended way to position my seat? Tips, advice, etc. appreciated (that's why I'm making a post
).
