Build Your Dream EVO
I like the car as it is basically, so I 'm just going to regurgitate some other people's wishes. I want the JDM recaros as a no/very small cost option. A front LSD would be nice. I want cruise control. I drive back and forth between austin and houston twice a week. That would be a PITA without it... Making it lighter would be nice, but not the top priority. .97 Gs at its current weight seems VERY sweet, which I'm sure can be upped to 1G with some good Anti Sway bars. Basically just keep ALMOST everything the way it is with just 3 or so additions and you have my perfect car.
OK i have a new idea,
should bring over the FTO as the colt and start it off as the colt evolution series, BUT this is what they should do to it!
MAKE IT AWD
Engine:
4g63 turbo motor(whats already in the lancer)
increase the displacement to 2.2L
give us motor options(ex:ti turbo, or normal/size-2.0 or 2.2)(u get the idea)
better exaust(maybe HKS or somtin)
Suspension:
get a nice firm susp. but not to firm for the U.S. roads
nice thick antiroll bars, and strut bars
Interior:
use the JDM lancer evo seats(recaros) and maybe give em with an option for the USDM or JDM seats, and an option for 4 point harnesses or somtin
lancer evo steering wheel or better
new dash panel
option for backseat
do like subaru and have optional cf and Ti shift knobs and soforth
have the guage cluster standard
maybe have an optional RalliArt rollbar
Transmission/Driveline:
have -
ACD
AYC
helical front diff.
5 spd. and optional super close ratio 6-spd.(no automatics!!)
Brakes:
Brembo 4 pots in front and 2 pots in rear
Evo size brembo discs all the way around (cross drilled, slotted)
racing brake pump and fluid
Wheels/Tires:
Enkie white 5 spoke 17 in. wheels(the ones the Evo 7 rally car used)
yokahama advan tires (same ones on evo now)
have optional spoilers, (the one on the gp-r and teh one on the GPX)
and have an optional model that has crappy stuff (rs)
use current FTO design
the models could be GSR $28,000, RS $22,000
well tell em what you think about my idea changes are welcome and so is applause!
until then

All parts changed to carbon fiber if possible...
Exchange engine with Bugatti Veyron V-12 (1000+ engine w/4 separate turbos per 3 cyl's)
Internal engine parts and drivetrain made out of Adamantium
Tires made of Flubber???

Here is the press release regarding the extreme VIII.
Widely acclaimed by the motoring press and enthusiasts alike, the Evolution VI and VII Extreme models were always going to be a hard act to follow. Now following our most extensive model development to date we are excited to announce that prospective customers will be able to book their demonstration drives in the all new Evolution VIII Xtreme model from May 1st.

Add adjustability to the AYC, including the option to pretty much defeat it (ie passive LSD behaviour). Add the ability into the ACD to run with a strong rear bias where 50/50 is the maximum front shift.
5 close gears and a tall 6th for highway loping - that way the bigger gas tank is less of an issue.
