I just bought a used 05 with about 3ks on it and im ready to mod it. Im pretty new to imports having to own a mustang GT previously. What mods can i do to get it into the mid 12 area? It seems like a lot of the owners in here get simple bolt ons with a tune or a new ecu to get thier cars into 12s. Any comments or advices will be great. Haha im just itching to get this project started so please help me out. THANX!

THANX FOR THE TIP. FOUND ALL THE ANSWERS TO MY QUESTION. iT SEEMS A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE USING CAMS TO GETTO MID 12s. I HAD CAMS INSTALLED ON MY GT AND MY DAILY DRIVE WAS COMPROMISED WITH ROUGH IDLING AND SUCH. WOULD GETTING A CAM ON MY EVO DO THE SAME?

 

not if you pair the cams with some cam gears and some tuning. my hks 264/272 tuned with an xede by vishnu is pleasantly stock like.

 

cams, cam gears and a tune should put you into 12's easy. what mod are already done to the car?

 

WORKS 269/269, no cam gears needed, barely notice it's there in terms of idling. No drivability compromise whatsoever.

You don't need cams to get into 12. Get TB, SAFC or reflash and race gas and into 12s
