hid install problem

hid install problem

ok i just installed my new hids. when i go to turn them on nothing happens. WTF?
so i upgraded the fuses to 20 amp and stll nothing happens. then i made sure that the ballast were touching nothing metal and still nothing?? wiring was pretty easy all plug and play. any help would be useful

u sure u put the neg and positive wires into the plug right? the plug that goes into your harness..... make sure you alighn it with ur harness plug correctly. you have them switched i bet.....

from the bulb to the ballast? they are red to red and blue to black

no not bulb to balast... but balast to harness... did you do those correct?? the ballast on urs, was ur plug connected already?? or did you have to put a neg and positive wire into a female plug then plug it into your harness? i dont kno if all kits are the same but i had to put a neg and pos into a female adapter then plugged that to the harness. if yours was already set up then i dont know your problem..... because i messed up on the female adapter thing and it didnt turn on for me either until i switched it around...

the connectors make it so that you cant put it on backwards

i moved the ballast and pluged directly into the bulb and still nothing

well yah i know that man... but mine wasnt attached... the connector was separate thats why im asking you... on my case i put the wires to the connectors backwards so it didnt turn on.. on ur case u already had them attached so im sorry but i dont know your problem then. i tried

Its hard to explain what im saying, if your not getting me at all....waht kit is URS?

well for my xtec it was reversed and i couldnt plugged them in. I then searched thru a box and saw a rubber wire with metal clips on each end and connected then vise versa and they worked. Maybe its the same for you.

i got one to work by swicthing to connector. it was red wire to black=not working swicthed it to red to black and white strip and it works but only one of them work. so i swicthed ballasts to the diffrent head lights now the one that doesent work works and the one that works doesnt.....think its a bad ballast??

ok they both now had to put in a 30 amp fuse
