TO REMOVE FACTORY SHIFT KNOB:

In a small bowl, mix equal parts baking soda, honey, and bleach.
Pour over the shift knob, quickly cover with aluminum foil to prevent evaporation.
Let sit 2 hours.
Collect needlenose pliers, a 2x4 of american #1 cedar, and a woman's bathing suit top.
Put on the swimsuit top and break the 2x4 over your head.
Put away the needlenose pliers.
Come back to the shiftknob and remove the aluminum foil.
That's quite a mess you've made.
Clean up all the baking soda, honey, and bleach.
Grab the knob.
Twist counterclockwise.
