Dyno time! Anyone care to guess my #'s?

Ok I'm getting tuned Saturday and will be on the Mustang dyno up @ Buschur racing.

The mods:

- Custom Dynoflash
- Hallman MBC w/Cockpit Controller
- Buschur Racing Intercooler
- Buschur Racing Lower IC Piping
- Buschur Racing 3" Downpipe
- Buschur Racing 3" Catback
- Buschur cone filter
- 3" Test Pipe
- HKS 264/264 Cams
- HKS TP DLI II (Ignition)
- Walbro 255 Fuel Pump

I'm sure I'm missing something from my list but oh well ..

That's around my guess too.. 290-320.

I won't come home unless it's over 300.

With less than that I put down 342.8/320.8 on a Mustang Dyno. I was on the stock intercooler and lower IC piping with GSC 264's and stock ignition with a TurboTrix flash...and a high-flow cat instead of test pipe.

My guess is 350/325

On that dyno you will make between 300 and 320 with those mods depending on weather you run pump gas and 20 psi (300 wheel HP) or race gas and peak boost of 24 psi droping to 21 by redline (320 wheel HP).

I just derived the conversion factors from my bone stock 05 EVO's numbers on his dyno (210 wheel HP 213 torque) and then converted his old dyno sheets for stage 3 and 4 over to what they would read on his new dyno

good luck,

Keith

I'll guess around 290-310. Torque about the same.

Like J-rod said it's a heart breaker dyno. Don't be to disappointed if it's just shy of 300. Dave just dyno'd a stock 05 and it put down 210. A stock 03 probably would put down 190-200. A hundred hp increase is nothing to be ashamed of.

My guess

Going to try on pump gas. I know the dyno will read low.. I just hope to hell it's over 300

I'm sure you know it's unlikely that your Mustang Dyno was reading the same as Buschur's. Otherwise, you'd be at the equivalent of westchester's 05 Evo who made ~370whp on 100oct with a 10.5 hotside and all the bolt-ons. I'm sure you can agree that's not likely, especially when perusing your trap speeds. At 340 on a mustang dyno, you'd be trapping 115-116mph...

hmm no one even makes 290 on a mustang in california with cams.. i wouldnt be suprised if it was more like 250-280, depending on how their dyno is calibrated... 340 on a mustang dyno would be an absolute beast.. not possible on the stock turbo on normal fuel.

Oh no, I doubt the 2 dynos are read ing exactly the same...but they are both Mustang dynos and should read somewhat alike. I noticed it was reading a little lower though with that RS that just dyno's around 210...mine was 219 stock. I typed my first response before reading the RS dyno. My new prediction for this is 325WHP. As for the comment on a 340-mustang dyno trapping 115-116mph...that's what I was trapping at after dynoing at 342.8 so you are correct on that as well.

Oh, you did trap that high? Why haven't you posted those timeslips? I would be curious to see, because hitting 116mph on pump gas without alky injection on the 9.8 hotside would probably be a world record. The only mph I see for you is the 110.3, so hook us up...

If you dyno'd at 219 on that same mustang dyno that later showed 342, then you gained 123whp with just cams and basic bolt-ons, which are usually good for 70-90whp, especially on just a flash as opposed to a more aggressive, self-tuning device.
