no chassis damage? I'm really surprised it's not considered totaled.

No chasis damage.

I would say the chances of it running the same are pretty good. The body shop is one of the top ones in western texas and they are replacing everything that could have even been possibly affected. They also did a complete check on the block etc. The owner of the shop has a 10.3 sec mustang without spray so I kinda trust he won't **** me over sice we know each other from the track etc etc.

What the **** is a "stage 4" ? I think you have been playing too much Gran Turismo.

A stage is 4 bands to play on in a bar or music venue. I think he's saying that after the insurance payed up, his friend added a "stage 4" bands to play in his trunk?

WEll I would have upgraded it as I had that option. Only problem is I just emptied my bank account on a combination of my car and my girl and I would have had to pay for any performance parts up front and then gotten reimbursed.

You shouldn't have too. If the Insurance comp want to give the check direct to the shop tell the shop to give you a call before they buy you anything. They should give you a price on everything they buy, plus they are not going to order anything until they get the money. I'm pretty sure if you know the guy as well as you say you do, ghe'll let you get what you want.

From what I've seen, EVOs can sustain A LOT of body damage before the damage goes beyond the body.

(occasionally you'll see exceptions, however)

Just seeing that almost brought a tear to my eye. I hope that never happens to my baby...unless someone else is paying for it....and even then I think I'd still cry like a little girl.

Yeah thank god it wasn't my fault. At least I caused a lot of drivetrain damage to his damn Camaro. Really though I am glad noone was hurt. Funny the Airbags didn't go off though.
