ECU reprogram recall... IMPORTANT

Guys,
Mitsu just called me and told me about a recall on all 02 and up "everything w/ the name Lancer". Talked w/ the service mgr and he said the cars are running too rich (like we didn't know that) and burning up the cat.

Letters should be coming out if people haven't already received them. I didn't think to get the recall info...

I imagine this will screw up tunes, flashes, etc. to the point where they no longer work correctly.

Al, any thoughts?

Its some emmissions equipment flash. I thought it was just for 02-03 Lancers because thats what my letter says. I could be wrong.

Caution, this flash is for ur cat warm up time i believe, if its the same as the lancers, had it done a few weeks ago, the way the ecu's work is there is no going back.. so one u get the flash u have it until a new one comes out. let me tell u this, right now me and 2 non-evo lancers are having a RPM hang with the new recall flash... it could be a nice feature for you tho.. like u get into the higher rpms, slight turn comes up, u let off before entering, rpms hang, and then u get back on after the apex... and bam ur still in the upper rpms even after a second or two off the gas...

Well I think Al already took care of this problem, of running too rich, for me. I'll never let mitsu touch my ECU for anything.

The recall is NOT for Evo's and NOT for Ralliart's with the MIVEC. regular 2.0 ES and LS lancers only, 2002-2005.
