Local Mistu Dealer "AYC/AWC Pump" recall

So basically I got my evo X (08') a few short months ago and I'm getting close to the 100k miles that will void the recall i was told that was out for my car... I call the dealer today and ask them to run my VIN and pull up the recall, long story short this woman acts like she has no clue about what I called her about. My buddy who is from the same city got his 08' X done under the recall at this same exact dealer. is it possible i am not covered under this recall? I thought all 2008 model evolution X were in this recall.. help me not yell at this lady or make an *** of myself 🤔

Keep in mind that it's not a recall... it's extended warranty. That's probably why she couldn't find it under recalls. Plenty of threads out there if you want to do a search.

No need to flash it back to stock... if that's what you're asking. I'd unplug the cord and toss it to the side though. They're going to clear the code(s) after the new pump is installed.

But if the ACD is fine/no codes - the dealer is under no obligation (like a recall) and may not perform warranty work (no fault found).

Good luck!

I had the same AWD pump failure and it was replaced under the powertrain warranty (after much back and forth with Mitsubishi). I don't think there ever was a recall
