04 Modded Evo vs 04 Stock Mustang GT
Any talk of racing in this thread is completely track only.
Okay, just wanted to get some opinions on this. The answer is clear to me, but my friends do not really think so. I know this is an evo forum, but I'm sure you guys would tell me if I'm crazy.
My car : 2004 Lancer Evolution
My power mods:
HKS Turbo back exhaust w/ Work HFC
HKS RS intake
Hallman Pro RX MBC set @ 21.5 psi
Evo MR DV
Greddy Upper IC pipe
Walbro 255 FP
Ralliart spark plug wires
Mitsubishi Earthing Cables
Defi D Boost, EGT, and A/F gauges
Custom Dynoflash
My friends car: 2004 Ford Mustang GT 40th anniversary
His power mods: Stock
He thinks that he would "smoke" me in a race... I think that from a dig, I would pull so hard on him he would quit. From a roll I would pull almost as hard, but not as bad. The only way he might beat me would be from like a 60mph roll, which is completely unpractical. What do you guys say? Also, does anyone know what an 04 GT has horse power wise? Weight? 1/4 mile times? Thanks guys.

Curb Weight: 3379 lbs.
Horsepower: 260 hp
Torque: 302 ft-lbs.
it's somewhats close as far as power goes, but mustangs are heavy cars when you add in all the ****. plus i don't think he could get that power to the ground as well as you can.

advantages for EVO against stock 04 GT:
Gearing
AWD
Weight
with the power being similiar the other 3 would shine and make the car walk the 04GT.
Now if they were to run 4th - 5th gear pulls I would expect the GT to have the advantage and pull on him , but c'mon thats a retarded idea .

see whats wierd Is the Mach 1 is supposed to be a tough cookie but I roasted some kid in his daddies Mach 1 about a year ago 3 times at the drags. I assume that he was a mediocere driver ( which would match my skill) .
The Mach 1 isn't anything to take lightly or you will get embarrassed but stock for stock from a dig its lights out.
Why do people who own these cars underestimate them?
