Will this mod void our so called "warranty"?

I plan on installing a braided SS clutch line, B&M adjustable short throw shifter w/poly-urathane bushings. While im in the process of doing that i was going to remove the restrictor in the slave cylinder for better clutch engagment. I know the clutch mod is not visible nor detectable unless its looked for but not sure if Mitsu will void anything for a clutch line. If it comes down to it i could always put the stock shifter back on if needed. Let me know.....

Its my understanding that it will, even though your setup is probably better for the trans than the stock setup.

Mitsu will consider almost anything to void the warranty.

It will if it is found. It is not however better for the driveline. The restrictor is there to help prevent shocking the driveline with a launch. Taking it out will increase your chances of breaking things.

It should only void the warranty on the part you replaced....

Or anything related to or dependent on that part. In this case, the entire transmission.

Hopefully you have a good dealership. Mine wouldn't even replace something that came defective from the factory so any mods are out of the question!

unfortunately since people continue to do 6500 rpm launches and or cant drive stick properly none of us can get decent warranty coverage.. probably a good reason why the X will be a paddle shifter car.

It all depends on the place you take it to. I live in a small town that NEEDS business and will do warranty work no matter what you've done to it.

general rule of thumb, "if you think it will void your warrentee, it probably will"
