Cusco lower arm bar ver 1.....fitment

Whats up guys.....a little heads up on the Cusco lower arm bar version 1.

My car is an 05 GSR model. I have the JIC Bullet 3" DP. The Cusco bar will not clear.

The stock bars didnt fit either for those who dont remember my original post when I installed the DP earlier this year.

No probs though, when I get the time I am going to pull the DP and take it in to my hydraulic press at work and put a flat spot in it to clear the lower arm bar. I want the bar on there and it shouldnt require much, I just dont want to hammer it to make it fit.

I would like to thank Jeff at 500whp.com for a speedy delivery and decent price on the bar though.

I will post pics when I get back from my vacation and have time to make it all fit.

Its always something when you start modding cars, but thats the fun part.

appreciate the advice.....I may consider it, just hate to waste more money though. Back when I bought the JIC it was the only DP that I Knew to be a confirmed fit, plus I need the cat at the moment....emissions time soon.

Apexi GT spec dp, its a full 3in pipe no taper. And it came with heat wrap. clears the stock bar, so you should have no problem with an after market piece. But if you are keeping your cat you might as wel just keep the stock down pipe aswell

Instead of bending it, just get some longer bolts and some spacers and you will be fine. I have the Cusco version 2 and have not fitment problems but then again I went with the HKS downpipe and dont regret it one bit. Funny thing everyone I know with a 3 inch downpipe with the exact same mods is making 15-18 ftlbs less of tq than me, Coincidence I think not.
