Skyline GT-R +100, been there done that....... not sure about the R35 but R33 and R32 was the best Japanese car IMO.. NSX ?? no way that car sucked for that price .. friend of mine smoked a Mugen NSX with his TRD MR-2 (it was 92'vs92') in the race track (many many corners) ...

but if you have money ... I mean money .......there are something out there ~

example - TVR Speed 12 (I rided one in New Zealand I was like OMG ... OMFG .....)

ok so within 150k range ... guess I will take GT-R at 2007 or I will stay with EVO but not ST-i coz ........ unless they upgrade their engine from piece of cake to a rocket launcher ....

well just my 2cp ~

Anyways, I've not driven either an Evo or STI, I just see that both are AWD but the STI has more power, but I have seen that the Evo is quicker. I prefer the evo over sti still, I was just throwing it out there.
an FYI

the evo seems to be putting down roughly the same power as the STi..so the power difference is minimal, the only thing the STi has over the evo is more low end torque from the 2.5liter.

Drucea is a good example of what people that are not into motorsports think about stis. they see the 300 > than 276 and they think it means better.

Ah, I've owned both, STI and now an EVO, I'd say their both more even than people think, it really depends on what your after, they each go after a slightly different market.

I would not hesitate to buy either again

i would buy an audi one day, but obviously they are a little more expensive to buy and mod. not upkeep though. evolike awd turbo performance with an awesome interior.

i still can get my hair to stand on end in this car after 22k. i learn how to drive it better everyday. the first time i got in boost i started laughing hysterically. and i mean one of those sinister i rule the world laughs and it was a genuine laugh. i never laughed so eviley in my life on accident.

Just curious what method you use for "step up/step down" determination.

Facts:
  1. STi is slightly more suited for offroad driving
  2. Thier stock performances on average are more or less the same for the street
  3. The Evo is much easier to mod and to make faster if correctly done
  4. Depending on ones needs, the Evo packs the most performance for 30K (wt/wo mods) in the world
