The point of this thread was actually to find some people who had fixed it themselves and see what they actually did and if they did it at home how they did it. Just like the brembo fix. Thanks for the replies guys.
if you really don't want to pay a body shop to do the work then take the wing off, go to the store or call 3M and get some gray scuff pads, scub the whole wing til it looks dull then go to the store buy some clearcoat in a can. Spray the wing with a thin coat from about 8 inches away, then let dry for a hour spray another coat, let dry again then spary on last thick coat. I work autobody I know first hand that it is not hard. If you get some dirt in the clear while it is sprayed after you can wetsand the specks out with like 2000 grit sand paper then buff it with compound. wax and you good as new.

well, mines is absolutely horrible looking. I'm scared they're not gonna help me. My whole wing is almost peeled. My car has been garage keep untill about the last 3-4 months and it's gotten so bad. I'm so busy, it's hard for me to get to the dealership. I've only got 21k on my 03.

HiRevnVIII, you asked if the manual mentions buffing. I didn't see any caution on buffing.
I find it almost amazing that some people get denied while others don't and some are told to wax while I'm told waxing is the culprit. You'd think Mitsu would get everybody on the same page. This isn't a cheap part to replace.
so I was told you can't paint it and it needs a gel coating. I tried to use clear coat on a blister that popped off down to the carbon fiber and it just soaked in... Dealer said you can't paint repair this too.. Comments?
