my transfer case will net be covered under warranty because my "aftermarket bov caused the transfer case to break"..straight from mitsubishi.

hahaha, another fiine example of why i would never own another mitsu no it doesn't make any sense. ask them to prove that the bov cause your transfer case to go. they can not legally void your warrenty for something that have no affect on it.

No way, that's utterly retarded. You're gonna have to bust out the magnusson-moss warranty act. They have to PROVE that your BOV caused this. The two aren't even close to being related, but you deserve a slap upside the head for not just replacing it with your stock BOV before going to the shop. That's a 5-min job that could have saved you 5 months of headaches...

Nope...but with Mitsu things don't always make sense.

Do a search and you will see what people have had to go through with Mitsu to get warranty service.

Anyway, you should fight this since there is no way that a bov could cause this problem. They are just trying to get out of doing work for free.

That is just an attempt to not cover it. They are hoping you will accept that and pay them to do it. Tell them to prove it. They have to be able to prove the aftermarket part directly caused the failure. I'm not sure how they can do that as the BOV doesn't have a lot to do with the transfer case.

Good Luck,

Ron

if they did that my lawyer would call and fix it all, no sense in not doing it the most effective manner.

and according to them we cant fight it because "im sorry the decision was made and once the decision has been made there is nothing we can do"...followed by the words of my lawyer/mom lol..."do me a favor..i want u to put this on file...u will be giving me a new car"...my car is already eligable for lemon law which is what this fight is about, but mitsubishi says sorry we wont be able to replace the car because the aftermarket bov caused the problem.
