well, imo its overkill because of the increased turbolag with running that big of a turbo, when you stuff too big of a turbo in the car it loses alot of its track speed, its gonna be faster on the straight of course, but to me when you do that you shy away from what this car was built for which is track performance, you can point out that the fq400 was faster on the track than the fq320, but thats only because of its blinding straight line power,it wasnt as nimble on the corners, the overkill can be corrected with a strokerkit, but no one does that, to me, there is such thing as having too much horsepower...i think the right amount of hp for a track evo is 350hp with weight reduction and increased torque output through whichever means you feel is most sufficient, and with 350hp on an evo youll beat 99% of the cars on the road anyway on the straights, just my opinion

Haha that topgear episode for fq400 comparing it to the lambo was funny.
in 6th it got beat by a volkswagen wagon i think...so increase that lag some more and you got pintos keeping up
but down shift a couple gears and you leave the fastest street cars in the dust

I don't understand the point of being in top gear at 30mph and accelerating.
In any normal driving situation, you would downshift.
I recently read in Car and Driver (I think it was that mag) that reviewed a new viper. They tried a top gear pull at 30mph and the car would not accelerate, so the stat was unavailable.

This has got nothing to do with the FQ400, apart from saying thats its going to have more power.
It does mention that the people developing this are Turbo Dynamics and EVO400 (who sometimes posts on here). Don't confuse FQ400 with EVO400, they're two different things. EVO400 site: http://www.evo400.com/
Some people over in the UK have been getting good results from the new Evo9 GT including EVO400, if I can remeber right thier getting around high 300hp with more torque and better spool up than the FQ400, which is kinda embarassing considering the cost of the thing (FQ400).

In something like an Evo I reckon about 400HP would be considered quite useable. With the right turbo of course. I often see/hear people around here with massive turbo and wastegate combos on their Evos. It's so pointless. By the time the turbo's making useable power, they have to change gear so they only get a very slight surge of power at the top end of their rev range. So stupid. They boast about having a massive turbo on an Evo then don't know what to say when a 1.3L Starlet GT turbo smokes them.
