I just got it because I did not want to deal with the hassle of wrapping the downpipe. Having it coated makes the whole system look cleaner too.

Not as rust is an issue where your at, but the wrap can become saturated and actually rust a pipe too. This makes the coating a better choice. Yuo will want to go with Swaintech as they are the best.
