Ever drive your EVO on a dirt road...
I went to a Machine gun shoot about 25 miles out of town on Sunday and the last 2 miles were down a bumpy dirt road. All I can say is "Holy $hit", I thought the car was going to fall apart. I heard new rattles in places I didn't think could rattle. I had rednecks in pick up trucks passing me cause I couldn't go more than 10 mph without self destructing. I don't know if my new Hotchkis springs made it worse or if the EVO suspension is just that tight

I don't think you can fully appreciate the the evo's poise without experiencing a wide gravel sweeper at 70 mph. I love having my winter tires on because I can completely floor my friends by shooting down nice canyon road, cutting onto dirt access roads with huge potholes, then cruising home at 25 mpg. Try _that_ with any other car.

as a rally driver I can assure you, you have no idea how loud it is when you're actually attacking a gravel rally stage at speed.
I wouldn't recommend running really hard on a very rough roads in a lowered streetcar with street tires (presumably advans). My rally car has significantly softer springs with higher initial damping rates to make it possible to drive fast on rough gravel.
the evo is fun to play with on loose dirt though. I love scaring my friend on the private dirt driveway back to his cabin.

don't u guys get rock chips on the areas behind the wheels on gravel or dirt? do u have mudflaps on ur evos? i keep wanting to go on local curvy forest dirt roads, they r all sandy/hard dirt, no gravel, no noticeable bumps, all very smooth and flat, but i'm afraid to get tons of rock chips. i bought some el cheapo basic mudflaps from pepboys, but i still need to fabricate some brackets to affix them to the chassis and i'm being lazy hehe.

.first off, you don't go OFF ROAD wirh a drop car. I remember when it took my car to a national park self tour trail worth of 4 miles. IT was really fun feels like i'm in a rally due to puddle of water and ince form the cold.. MY was dirty as hell with a the mud.
While drving my car feels like **** going to start to fall apart and me bouncing around. but definitely no off road for drop car.
this was my excursion...... https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ght=offroading
