Both them are really good but it depends. Cause if u get intake, u would HAVE to get a tune. Though if ur runnin stock turbo, just do a drop in K&N and spend money on a tbe, mbc, or etc.

I heard nuttin but good stuff from both, though again u must tune ur car to get the appropriate gains.

P.S.- id got with HKS cause of the name but ARC is also good. flip a coin?

burning money

Case study # 22 - How air intakes make your car run lean and how tuning helps

Nothing new here - this is just a refresher as I still see dozens of peoplerunning HKS suction intake, ARC and Buschur all of which distort the maf sesnor reading. All aftermarket intakes need a retune of the stock ecu by a piggy back or reflash.

if your planning on going with a bigger turbo in the future I would hold off in getting a intake. I think the stock one is very good so dont wast your money..

if aftermarket intakes did not give u an advantage then companies would not sell them. its all about flow and restriction of the stock airbox. i have a aem and it does the trick.

Get the HKS racing suction. You will not be dissappointed, however you must get it tuned when you install it. HKS been in the game for years, top quality parts.

Wow, I wish I wasnt so jaded, Id rather be as naive as you...Warrtalon is right...but thats not new - the masses are *****

1 - yes companies will sell you crap if you are willing to by it - simple economics.
2 - many have found that the stock air box flows actually quite well with just the K&N drop in.

It may be true on other cars and different manufactors that intakes are restictive and flow for crap, which I totally agree, I have made about a half dozen CAI on my other cars - but sometimes the factory engineers do something right - sometimes.

So for Alexjim - search, but also think about supporting mods, TBE, MBC...and a tune - do them all at once. In the end its your car and your money - feel free to make your own decisions.

Yes I have a cone intake filter instead of the stock box - and I am TUNED for it.
