Those tuners in your area just did you a favor; they explained why you shouldn't let them touch your car.

FJF to the rescue!

A dyno tune should not even cost $500 in the first place. You need to find better tuners because if they can not read logs from evoscan they must not be tuners. Ecuflash is very user friendly, why do you think there are so many "tooners"?

I've never used DSMlink but I didn't find Ecuflash to be un-user-friendly when I was starting. There's lots of stuff to learn, but I imagine that's the case with any tuning software. And you can't beat the price...

There are tons of pro tuners on here that can do remote tunes. Unless you just have to have a dyno sheet with it they are way better then what it seams like your dealing with. If they find ECUFlash hard to work with I would look for other tuners. I cannot tune myself and I understand the basic workings of the software enough I could change it if needed (small changes).

good point, i wasn't trying to drop names but since you raised this point it was Mach V Motorsports in sterling VA. I was out at their "open house" and was discussing options with them. The other shop in my area (DC/MD/VA) I still need to make a run to has a outstanding rep on here "Moore automotive". I am doing as much research as possible before spending any money.
