Haven't read all the post yet.
But if I'm not mistaken won't the Air Force cover you storage fee. You might want to check into it. Put that car in storage.
I'm sure you have a friend around that could drive it around the block for you. I just got back from a four month deployment, had a buddy drive the car every now and then. The only thing I did was put fuel saver in it.
Hey man, if you want to put it in storage, i found a list of places with the number located in missouri. I think this would be best. Its a lot safer and weather proof.

If you talk to your Family support center there is a program that the airforce will pay for your storage unit while you are deployed so you wont have to keep it outside, thats what i did and i was gone for 6 1/2 months!!! And yes i am a Security Forces we tend to deploy longer!!! Hope this helped!!!!!
It looks like you've gotten quite a bit of advice from this thread, my two cents on car storage, fill the tank, top the fluids, disconnect battery, put the car on jackstands in a climate controlled storage area. Rotate motor by hand prior to starting, and change fluids when first thing when you get back.
But the purpose of this post.... is to wish you luck and safe keeping. And thank you for your service to your country, and fellow americans. I've done absolutely nothing for you, but you are willing to go overseas, lay your life on the line and protect my freedom and things I hold dear. For that, I salute you, and all the other service members on this board.

Secondly, this long term parking lot is insured by the military. The law enforcement desk checks all the vehicles several times a day. You are required to fill out a form which includes a description of any cosmetic damage.
Last but not least, for the people deploying there are several programs for free in which they do maintenance in your car while you are gone.
I would never leave a car abandon outside when you can have it properly guarded and insured for free.
I just went to San Antonio (Lackland AFB) and parked my Honda Civic SI there in the Security Forces long term parking. There is no safer place for it, no one is going to %uck around with your property in a military installation in front of the Security Forces.
Last but not least, your plates, your insurance and your emissions are 100% waivable if you are deployed, that means you are entitle to NOT pay for them while you are deploy in a combat Zone
Please e-mail me and I will get you in the right direction.

dude, all you need to do is unhook the battery and get a good car cover mabey 1 thats to big and you can tie under it with rope like a cacoon. and make sure is its on like 1/4 tank. when you get back let it warm up then fill it w/ gas and maybe put some injector cleaner or octane boost in the tank when you fill it. i store mine for 6 months in upstate NY along w/ like well my dads toys, 65 GTO convertable, 67 catalina convertable, and a crap load others all show cars. hes stored them every year for the past 25 years like this never had a problem. there inside but not heated. and it gets like -30 deg. sometimes.
