Drain fuel system, car cover, remove battery and store inside in a cool and dry place (vented as well), remove all liquids you may have in the car drinks and so forth (that leave water in a glass container and put it in the frezer and the glass breaks ordeal, don't want ur drinks staining ur interior, put a cover over the hood vent, i dunno what else

u can run the car untill empty but alot of shops have fuel system fillers and drainers, u should be concerend with fuel in the lines sitting there for a while, so just unplug the fuel line fron the rain, drain the rail, and remove the fuel from the lines and tank, and u should be good (plug the lines back in after ur done). THis of couse is being extremely safe, i'm pretty sure fuel doesn't turn bad for 4 months but since the cold might have an effect on it i would be on the safe side with all the freezing and stuff.

No that's not good.. you would need to drain the tank probably. There are also additives you can add to your fuel before you leave.. I know they make these for boats not sure about cars.

Someone in Mizzou needs to step up with some garage space for ya.

If that doesn't work out, at least throw a cover on that baby. Improvise if you don't have one.

you don't nessarily need to drain the fuel......just throw in some fuel stabilizer & drive it around until it mixes up with you fuel in there & unplugg your battery....if it's garaged, throw it up on 4 jackstands, and cover it...if you do leave it outside, make sure you use a highly waterproof cover...and you're set....keep all other fluids in there....and change them when you get back....

GOOD LUCK ON YOUR DEPLOYMENT....STAY SAFE!!

Have you thought about climate controlled storage? I know it may be pricey, but the safety factor would be alot higher Good luck to you bro! It was cool meeting you a few months back at the EVO meet at Dieman

I think you might be better off filling the gas tank all the way up and going with a fuel stabilizer-anti freeze. That's what I did when I deployed. I'm not sure about missiouri (and it being winter) but lots of humidity in flordia so with the gas tank empty condensation can form in sidegas tank. If full no place for water to accumalate. You may want to see about renting a storage unit also to park the car in depending how much it will cost a month. Your car will look a lot better when you get back and you will be less worried about something happening to your car. But if you decide to drain the there should be a drain bolt on the bottom of gas tank.

Send your Evo my way so i can take care of it for you. Then put your SGLI in my name before you deploy.

P.s. Where are you going? I was in Baghdad and Balad for 6 months 2 summers ago. It was no joke, the best summer i've ever had. Took over 1,000 pictures and brought back some cool $*** like some marble off of one of Sadams bedrooms walls and a sweet Haji knife i found in the dirt.

I'll volunteer my driveway... but you gotta get it to TX

My buddy has been in Iraq for damn near a year now.. his evo has been sitting in his garage.. His wife makes a trip back to the house every now and then to start it and run it around the block.
