Road salt is illegal in California. But then it doesn't snow in California besides up in the mountains. We just get rain... and a lot of people already don't know how to drive in the rain. Snow would wreck havoc.

Agreed, it is a Mitsu, but Im being realistic. I am a recent college grad that enjoys a great job in which I can afford my Evo and Intergra, but in the future I hope to own a house and support a family. That being said, I realize if I pay the Evo off in the next few years I can keep it as a weekend car since it wont cut into funds for other more important endevors. Hence, the Evo is my Ferrari, and if I take care of it I will always have a fun toy to mess around with.

My car is fine... However, it will only be sitting in the garage during the winter.

The 97 corolla is holding it's own tho.

Down in southern Ohio today we have gotten a couple of inches and my 05 MR is staying in the garage! My 94 Ranger 4X4 has been called into duty The salt and sand just tear the crap out of vehicles.

I can't remember for sure but doesn't the owner's manual state to stay off the Advans in temps colder than 40F? I haven't contacted Yokohama but I wonder if this damages the integrity of the tires. Making them brittle and prone to cracking for instance by heat cycling them to such low temps. Maybe I'll fire them an email to find out.

Im thinking about taking my evo in the snow a couple times when the roads are clear but where I can find a fresh few inch coated empty parking lot to practice some physics. Then immediately go to my local car wash where you can spray with a high pressure hose underneath the car.

I WILL BE THE FIRST TO HAVE A VIDEO UP WHEN IT SNOWS IN MA
and It will be edited so I can show slides in Tarmac setting, gravel, snow see if we can see a difference and donuts in all 3 settings.

I had my first experience with my Evo in the snow....normal driving in the snow it handles damn good. I have Goodyear Eagle RSA.... or something like that.

My car won't ever stop for crap with any snow frost or anything on the ground with all seasons. Hoping if i get some blizzaks that the freakin breaks won't keep locking up and me slidding around everywhere..

I had my first experience in the snow with my Evo last night. It was great. Plenty of traction on the ice and snow even with crappy Sumitomo All Seasons.

And last night was about as bad as it can get. There was only about 1.5" on snow on the ground, but it was sticking and with lots of cars on the road, the snow quickly turned to ice. If we got another inch or so, there would have been a lot more traction. I counted 5 cars off the side of the highway last night on the last stretch of Rt 84 west. Most other cars were staying in the right lane with their hazards on and doing 30 mph. While I was in the left lane cruising past them.

I can't wait to get some Blizzak's on. Should be a lot of fun.

Pretty well, I'd say. So much fun. The Dunlop Winter Sport M3s are great winter tires, BTW.
