Finally pulled the trigger

Well after years of drooling over the evo, I finally pulled the trigger. I purchased an 06 Evolution MR in GG from Wantagh Mitsubishi. I went to several dealers in the NY/NJ area and finally got a good deal from Wantagh. I can't believe the amount of dealers that were selling $3000 over MSRP. I also couldn't believe the amount of miles that were on some of these "new" evos at other dealers. I got mine with only 4 miles. I dealt with Leo Menuzzo and we decided on $594 under MSRP.

He is a member here at this forum and is an evo owner himself. He owns a 1998 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution V GSR. That thing is pretty sweet!!! I am also happy because I got to keep my M3 as well. (For those that didn't know, this was also a big reason I didn't buy the evo sooner. I just couldn't let her go) Overall the whole buying experience at Wantagh Mitsubishi was the best I've ever had at any dealership, even BMW and we all know that buying at most dealerships sucks. BTW if anyone is interested, there are two MR's there. A silver and a white one. If you go there, tell them Jeff A sent ya. And if you have any questions, feel free to PM me. Oh and I will post pics sooooon.

Goin drivin, wooooooooooooohoooooooooooooooo

Jeff

Didn't want to forget Steve from NoLimitMotors for his help with reminding me that Leo was the man to go to at Wantagh.

fusionchicken-I've only got the E36M3 but I love her to death. Its the first car I purchased brand new with my own hard earned money. We could be neighbors? Where do you live? =P

burningmoney97-thanks for the MR site!

Noctunal - Yep Leo's da man

WrxKilla - heard too many horror stories about 5 town already.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I finally feel like part of the family now!

i live in california - socal to be exact. i know the e46 is faster, but many have said that the e36 gives much better responses to driver inputs and has much better steering, so u still have really fun toys!!!

so where do u live? lol jk.

The E36M3 when dialed in properly is an excellent track machine. It's just so expensive to mod bimmers with so little gain. I am located in the NY/NJ area. I am also on the west coast 2-3 times a year. Last time I was there I was on that JetBlue flight that couldn't correct its landing gear so I haven't flown since
