Another follow up.. Where did you put your LED. I was thinking about having it installed near the ACD switch? Looks like a small panel to replace. Also considered centered on top of the steering wheel (over the ignition). That piece has to move though.

 

I have the Alpine 9855, I love it. You could buy it for dirt cheap from http://www.carstereoland.com/shop/sh...11725518626193, they don't charge tax or shipping. Its' $110 more than the 9853 on that site. Me and you must have the same taste, because I am also interested in the Viper 5000. Neways good luck.
