Daily driven 400+whp Evo owners....chime in.
Actually it is not that bad. I only drive her on perfect, sunny, and dry days in the spring, summer and fall. She is an 03 with 1900 miles on her...plus I have a Honda Civic daily driver that gets 41mpg express way. I guess I could lower the boost, which would lower the out put, but my combo was put together with using 110 all the time as a primary factor. If I was going to run pump 93/94 octane, I would have used a different combo, or added a methor alky inj. system.

I guess my concern is, is the car going to be 'scary' for my wife to drive? Best guess is low boost is still going to be over 400whp, which will also be where I open-track the car at. High boost will be for viper/vette hunting at Road Atlanta, as long as the stock internals live.
Guys and Girls with the big numbers, how does the car drive, is it scary for the person who commutes, rather than drives?

im running 26psi with methanol and I was wondering if I up the boost to maybe 28psi do I need to get another retune and will it be safe? Will the afr's stay the same at 28psi and at 26psi?
Hey, it's all gonna be fine. She just has to drive without 'pushing the pedal for more'. No need to short shift as the turbo ONLY comes on under load anyways. In other words, you only get boost when your foot asks for it. My only thought is that the clutch may take some time getting used to (for both you and her) as I'm sure you'll be going with an upgraded one for this hp range.
It's going to depend on what turbo you end up with. If your setup ends up spooling up after 3500 rpms, then it shouldn't be a problem to drive for your wife (as long as she keeps it under 4K). If you're going with a GT35R, the pump-gas spoolup isn't quite as violent as the smaller GT series turbos. The other concern I would have is surging in 5th gear ... if your wife drives on the interstate and decides to floor it in 5th gear while cruising at 65-70, the turbo may surge (aka, violent bucking)...
