Insurance Question

I just have a question for all of the other evo owners about how much a month you guys pay for your insurance. Personally myself I think I am being over charged every month. I am currently 21 and have never been in an accident and have never had a ticket of any sort. My insurance per month is currently $260. Does this sound like the average payment per month or am I getting overcharged?

call whomever makes you a preferred customer.......geico was the only one that would give me that status and they did it for 1800 per year. everyone else was like 2300, 2400, 2100.

call around.....try ERIE, GEICO, and all state

At this time, I pay about $76 a month for full coverage with State Farm. Thats about $460 every 6 months or $920 a year. I'm 26, M, no points, 1 motorcycle accident 1.5 years ago in which I totalled the bike.

I just switched from Progressive. They were ripping me off. I was paying something like $2,100 a year with them for LESS coverage. Not much less, but it was less.

I went to State Farm for my homeowners insurance and they asked if I wanted to switch to them for auto ins also. My homeowners ins was $740 a year and they said if I bought their auto ins, that would be lowered to $630 a year. So I asked for a quote and was AMAZED at how much less it was.

State Farm saved me around $1200 a year. If I learned anything from this experience, its to SHOP AROUND!! lol

Insurance is based on more than just the car u drive. Driving history/experience, location, insurance company, age, gender, etc. I could go on and on. You need to do some work on your own and fill out online quotes from as many companies as possible.

Mulit-car discount is always a plus when driving a "sports car".

Male, 20, no tickets. Currently I drive a normal lancer and pay about $95/month. I called the insurance company and they said if I got an evo it would only be $15 more per month. That's with full coverage and $500 deductible. Still under my parents plan though and they use GMAC.

i pay $238/month on the '03 (i'm 32), & the wife pays $100/month on the '05 (she's 38).

credit score, zipcode you live in, driving record, & type of car all play a role in insurance. i had geico & they raised my rate $400 bcuz they reclassified the EVO as "high risk" so i went thru Progressive. wife has had State Farm for 22 years with no tickets or accidents on her record. i also discoverd that on ALL the '06 models they consider them safer due to more standard safety features (even though the evo is unchanged). if i buy an '06, my rate would go from $1428 every 6 months to $1100.

21/ m/ single, no accidents, no points... i pay 800 ever 6 months for my evo... and thats with using a false address, multicar discount, and lying about how much milage i put on my car...

some people dont think that it plays that big of a part, milage anyway. but it does... as far as my insurence knows, im living in the far west of my state, and putting only 100 miles on the evo per year.... yea right...
